Hey friends! Long time since I’ve posted. This past week we got a huge snow storm that brought 5 or 6 inches. Winter is not one of my favorite seasons, but the snow is always so beautiful. Today I wanted to share some of my tips on what I wear to stay warm and how many layers I end up wearing when spending an afternoon out in the cold.
I also choose this color palette in the outfit because I wanted to feature my first ever designer hand bag purchase. I have had my eye on buying a Rebecca Minkoff handbag for a while and finally splurged. So everyone please meet my new handbag, the Edie Top Handle Satchel by Rebecca Minkoff.
Scroll to see the tips and outfit details and thanks for stopping by and reading this post. Hope to see you again in the future. Have a great week.

1: DO NOT WEAR COTTON
You are probably thinking I am crazy for not wearing a coat, but I wasn’t cold. My hands and face was but not the rest of me because I wore layers. Layers is the key to staying warm. One of my biggest tips I learned after living in Michigan for the last 20 years is not to wear cotton. Cotton absorbs moisture, so if you get wet or are sweating, the shirt will essentially “drink” that up and you’ll be cold. My tank top I wore under this fuzzy sweater was only 50% cotton but still added an extra layer of warmth.
2: WEAR LEGGINGS
Less than a year ago I learned from a fellow blogger on tiktok I follow about Fleece Lined Leggings and this was the biggest lifesaver out there. This is hands down the best purchase I have made. I wear these under everything, including dresses, skirts and jeans. See this blog post to view more images of them, you can’t even tell I am wearing leggings!
3: WEAR TWO LAYERS OF SOCKS
Keep those toes warm! This one seems pretty self explanatory. The warmer your feet are the longer you won’t mind walking outside in the cold.
