While in Costa Rica, we didn’t have too much time to chill while we were around doing different tours. When we did have a few hours in between for lunch or a little relaxing we made sure to go to the pool and I brought three different books with me on the trip to read.
Okay friends onto the book review. So why only four stars? Well It took me two weeks to read this book because it started out slow and I didn’t have the desire to pick it up and keep reading. There was nothing that really captivated me and made me want to read the book in one day like other books I have read. However, while reading the book the author wrote about Nantucket so well and made it sound so charming that It makes me want to travel there.
The book is very well written and gives so much life and interest to every character that is mentioned. There is drama, love and lying throughout this book. A little synopsis of the book in short; A billion buys an old run down Haunted hotel and rebuilds it to be Hotel Nantucket. The billion Xavier Darling only buys the hotel so that he can get the infamous Fifth Key from the unknown reviewer of hotels called “Hotel Confidential”. It isn’t until the story gets out that the hotel is haunted that business starts picking up and the hotel is booked solid. Throughout reading this book you get excited so many times to see who the true identity of “Hotel Confidential” is and when it’s revealed it isn’t who you expected at all.
If you want a book that is easy to follow and has much drama, interesting characters and romances, mysteries and lies this is the book for you. It is a slow beach or pool read that will make you want to get that tan in and enjoy reading. Let me know in the comments if you have read this book and your thoughts or if you’ve added it to your reading list!
